Customer Service Officer (6 Month Fixed-term Contract)

Bulk Nutrients is Australia’s leading direct-to-customer supplier of sports and nutritional supplements. We're an Employer of Choice and proud to develop, manufacture, and dispatch all our products in Southern Tasmania.

We’re looking for a friendly, customer-focused Customer Service Officer to join our high-performing Customer Service team. You’ll be the voice of Bulk Nutrients, delivering clear, professional, and empathetic support to our customers across phone, email, and live chat. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving, takes ownership of customer issues, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

The role is based at Huntingfield, in southern Tasmania and is a genuine full-time, 6-month fixed term contract (Monday to Friday, 8:54am–5:00pm) so you can enjoy your evenings and weekends outside of work.

In this role, you will:

  • Answer customer enquiries via phone, email, and live chat
  • Provide friendly, accurate advice on orders, products, ingredients, and company policies
  • Take responsibility for resolving customer issues from start to finish
  • Use internal systems (e.g. Intercom, CRM, order management tools) to optimise the customer experience
  • Liaise with internal teams and external partners such as Australia Post
  • Accurately record notes, orders, and follow-up actions
  • Maintain a consistently high level of customer satisfaction
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to support shared goals

Capsule Machine Operator - Tasmanian Pharmaceuticals

Tasmanian Pharmaceuticals is part of the Bulk Nutrients group of companies Australia’s leading direct to consumer supplier of sports and nutritional supplements, proudly Australian owned and operated and recognised as a Tasmanian Employer of Choice. Tasmanian Pharmaceuticals is our newest venture, manufacturing out of a brand-new, TGA licensed, GMP facility in Huntingfield, just south of Hobart.

As we continue this successful venture, we're looking for a precise and safety-conscious Capsule Machine Operator to join the team. This is a hands-on role at the heart of our production floor you'll be responsible for operating and maintaining capsulation machinery, following detailed procedures and batch documentation, and helping us maintain the high standards of hygiene, safety and quality our TGA licence demands.

This position is Part-Time to start, requiring 2 days per week at 9.5 hour shifts, with the possibility of it evolving into a 12 month fixed term contract full-time position from early 2027, with the opportunity for this to extended as our Huntingfield site ramps up.

We don't take ourselves too seriously, but we are serious about producing safe, high-quality product every single batch.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Operating and maintaining capsulation and production machinery to a high standard
  • Following Standard Operating Procedures and documentation accurately, including batch records
  • Maximising efficiency to produce the required volume of product
  • Being responsible for the quality of product produced at every stage from raw ingredients through to the finished, capsulated product
  • Maintaining the cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene of the manufacturing facility in line with GMP principles
  • Adhering to strict dress code, personal hygiene and security requirements of a TGA licensed site
  • Communicating and working effectively as part of a small, close-knit production team
  • Staying flexible across shifts and adapting to changes as the business grows

Technical Skills

  • Previous experience in a similar role, with demonstrated practical capability maintaining and operating machinery experience with capsulation or other pharmaceutical/food production machinery is highly valued but not essential (experience with other machinery types is also relevant)
  • Ability to adjust settings and troubleshoot issues
  • Able to read manuals and interpret diagrams
  • Comfortable using tools to perform small adjustments
  • Basic mechanical aptitude to operate and maintain production machinery

Personal Skills

  • Calm, methodical, and able to work through problems without frustration
  • High level of personal hygiene
  • Reliable
  • Willing and able to work independently in a production environment (indoor, climate-controlled manufacturing rooms) but also able to work collaboratively as required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Physical stamina this role requires standing for the whole shift
  • A genuine commitment to workplace safety and hygiene standards
  • Flexibility to work across various shifts and adapt to change

Desired but not essential:

  • Experience in a GMP manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • Knowledge of equipment maintenance and calibration processes
  • Familiarity with batch documentation and quality control procedures
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing is an advantage but not required
  • Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production setting

As part of the group, you'll have access to cross-training and upskilling opportunities across both the Huntingfield and Grove sites, supporting your growth as our operations expand.
